39 weeks

Baby is still in there! I'm trying to be patient because I haven't even hit my due date yet but I was really hoping he'd come early. Which can still happen...

I had my weekly doctor's appointment on Friday. The cervix has softened a bit, so a slight change from last week... but still no effacement or dilation. Total bummer. The doctor decided to go ahead and schedule my induction, so he had to call the hospital to coordinate my schedule (which is wide open!), his schedule, and what they have available at the hospital... who knew they'd already be booked up the week of 9/2?! :( As of right now we're scheduled for Sunday 9/8 at 7:30am, but the doctor seemed hopeful that we wouldn't need it. Fingers crossed!! :)

Next week at work is our biggest event of the year. The top agents at Nationwide, along with the managers I work with, come into town for "Life University" for a 3 day conference. I'm really not looking forward to it, only because I'll be 39 weeks pregnant, working long days and on my feet a lot and having to *mingle*. It's a great event, but just not what I want to be doing at this point. Hence, why I've been trying a few "natural" induction techniques this past week.

All the spicy food has done is leave me with heartburn. The pineapple was yummy but obviously didn't work either. Next on my list is to try the "coffee potty"... I know I am crazy for thinking of trying it, but some girls have said it works and I'm willing to try almost anything  :) The doctor said castor oil is supposed to work, but I was reading that it will give you diarrhea and it's really not recommended. There are some other methods I might try as I get more desperate.

Side note... baby really likes my right side... this was him giving me an alien belly again the other night! {p.s. something is totally wrong with my iPhone camera when I try to take pictures in the dark?!}

Milo is really going to miss my belly...
